In addition to being visually identical to those games, the main feature of DX-Ball is that it includes a programming language, CTSPGames Basic, which allows users to program the various features of the game (such as the winning sequence and game ending). The game, originally intended to be based on an early version of the arcade game called MegaBall, is now patterned after older arcade games like Breakout and Arkanoid.
